Kevin McCarty

Kevin McCarty is an accomplished information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and GVP of Information Security at Gartner since April 2025. With extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership, Kevin previously held the position of Chief Information Security Officer for Cigna US Healthcare, where responsibilities included overseeing global cyber assurance and compliance functions. Prior to that, Kevin was Vice President of Information Security at Marriott International, focusing on global security governance and risk management. Additional experience includes roles at Shared Assessments and Sungard Availability Services, where Kevin was instrumental in enhancing vendor risk assessment processes and implementing security governance frameworks. Kevin holds an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
