Markus Tresch is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the technology and insurance sectors. Currently serving as Vice President and Managing Executive Partner at Gartner since July 2017, Markus previously held the role of Senior Executive Partner within the same organization, focusing on executive programs in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Prior to joining Gartner, Markus was the Head of Branch Switzerland and France at Allianz Technology, where responsibilities included IT transformation, and held the position of Global CIO overseeing strategic core insurance IT platforms. Markus's earlier roles include CIO for General Insurance Europe at Zürich Versicherungs-Gesellschaft AG and Managing Director in IT Systems Engineering at Credit Suisse. Markus began a career in technology as a Systems Engineer at IBM Almaden Research Center. Markus holds an Executive MBA from the University of St.Gallen, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ulm University, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich.
