Philip Walsh

Philip Walsh, PhD, currently serves as Director and Senior Principal Analyst at Gartner since July 2021, where responsibilities include developing best practice recommendations and leading proprietary research on applications and software engineering. Prior to this role, Philip held various academic positions, including Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Faculty Member at Fordham University, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Mount St. Mary's University and UC Irvine, where courses taught encompassed subjects such as Philosophy of Technology, Bioethics, and Critical Thinking. Philip's early career included significant pedagogical contributions as a Pedagogical Fellow at UC Irvine and as an Assistant Language Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Philosophy from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Villanova University, complemented by a Master's degree in Eastern Classics from St. John's College.
