Rob McMillan

Rob McMillan serves as the Managing Vice President at Gartner, overseeing the Security and Privacy Programs research team, which advises global IT and business executives on effective organizational strategies. McMillan has extensive experience in the field, including roles as Research Director at Gartner, where responsibilities included maintaining knowledge of legal and regulatory environments and developing strategic tools for C-level clients. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Manager at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where an enhanced information security model was implemented, and as General Manager at AusCERT, focusing on business development and partnerships. Early career contributions include working with CERT/CC on security vulnerabilities and co-founding AusCERT while employed as a network and systems administrator.
