Shayla Combs

Shayla Combs has extensive experience in leadership, program coordination, and research. At Cornell Dining, Shayla served as the Student Assistant Director of North Campus, managing over 600 student employees and implementing essential training and policies. As the Program Operations Coordinator for Cornell Upward Bound, Shayla supported low-income and first-generation students through mentorship and college preparation initiatives. Subsequent roles at Gartner as a Research Specialist and later as Principal and Senior Research Specialist involved conducting vital research for HR leaders and developing original insights. Additionally, Shayla contributed to community engagement as a High Road Fellow with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County and completed an internship with Be (A) Part, a nonprofit focused on youth leadership. Shayla earned a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Cornell University.
