Software Developer And Data Analyst at Garvan Institute of Medical Research

Hong Ching Lee started their work experience in 2005 as a Graduate Student at the University of Sydney, where they completed a doctoral thesis under the supervision of Bret W. Church. In 2011, they joined the University of Queensland as a Software Developer and Data Analyst, where they analyzed the genomes of crop plants and implemented a Python pipeline for SNP density analysis. In 2012, Lee joined the Garvan Institute of Medical Research as a Software Developer and Data Analyst, where they launched Australia's first 'smartphone supercomputer' called DreamLab in collaboration with Vodafone and b2Cloud. They also conducted independent research on computational biology software for analyzing complex diseases like cancer.

Hong Ching Lee completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from UNSW from 2001 to 2005. Afterward, from 2005 to 2010, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Biology from the University of Sydney.
