Zhen Qiao has extensive work experience in research roles. They started their career as a Summer Research Intern at The University of Queensland in 2013. They then continued their research journey at the same university, working as a Research Assistant from September 2019 to February 2020. In March 2020, Zhen Qiao became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland, holding this position until April 2021. They also worked as casual research staff at the university from April 2021 to the present time. Currently, Zhen Qiao is employed as a Research Officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since September 2021.
Zhen Qiao has a comprehensive education history in the field of healthcare and statistics. They completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Sun Yat-sen University from 2006 to 2011, specializing in Community Health and Preventive Medicine. They then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at The University of Queensland from 2011 to 2012.
Zhen Qiao further expanded their expertise by obtaining a Master of Applied Science degree in Environmental Epidemiology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2012 and 2014. Subsequently, they completed their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistical Genetics from The University of Queensland from 2015 to 2019.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Zhen Qiao also received a certification as a Life Scientist from VETASSESS in May 2019.
