David Russell

David Russell is a highly experienced commercial lawyer with a strong background in financial services litigation. Currently acting as Head of Legal at Gas Networks Ireland since March 2018, David has also held the position of Commercial Lawyer there. Prior to this, David served as a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, where significant achievements included advising major financial institutions on high-stakes litigation and regulatory matters. David's earlier roles include positions at Clifford Chance LLP, Bracewell Law, and Coakley Moloney Solicitors, alongside experience at Russell & Co., Forensic Accountants as a non-practising solicitor. Academic credentials include a Diploma in Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring from the Law Society of Ireland and a BA in Economics & Geography from University College Cork.
