Donal Kissane

Donal Kissane is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the New Business Development Manager at Gas Networks Ireland since September 2015, where responsibilities include developing new business opportunities and promoting sector integration in the transition to a low carbon economy. Previously, Donal held roles as Business Development Manager and Commercial Manager during the rebranding of Bord Gais Eireann to Gas Networks Ireland. Donal's extensive experience also includes Project and Commercial Management roles at Bord Gais Eireann and various international positions in energy industries from 1997 to 2001, including work with SABIC and Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn Bhd as a Gas Turbine and Rotating Equipment Specialist. Career beginnings were at General Electric, where a comprehensive background in power generation and energy delivery technologies was established. Donal holds an MBA from University College Cork, a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and further qualifications in Lean Six Sigma and Mechanical Engineering.
