Karen Proctor

Karen Proctor has over 20 years of experience in software quality assurance. Karen has held various roles in different companies, starting with their role as a Test Engineer III at Sprint from 1998 to 2002, where they were responsible for implementing a fraud system. Karen then worked as a Software Test Engineer at Kelly Technical Services Inc. from 2002 to 2006, performing testing for Sprint's web-based customer provisioning applications.

From 2006 to 2007, Karen worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at SteepRock Inc., where they were responsible for testing web-based pharmaceutical marketing software systems. Karen then moved to a part-time role as a SteepRock Contractor-Quality Assurance Analyst at Medical Marketing Services LLC from 2007 to 2014, where they continued their testing responsibilities and introduced agile development processes and the Sencha framework.

In 2014, Karen became a Quality Assurance Manager at Medical Marketing Services LLC, where they led a team of six software testers and implemented a test planning strategy. Karen then moved to NowSecure Inc. in 2014 as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, responsible for testing desktop, cloud, web, iOS mobile, and Android mobile applications. Karen led the testing for the migration of the desktop application to a cloud-based version.

From 2016 to 2018, Karen worked as a QA Specialist at DSI, and since 2018, they have been working as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst at GSTV.

Karen Proctor attended Washington State University from 1988 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS). In addition to their degree, they also obtained a CSS: Selectors certification from lynda.com in August 2015.
