Amy Kleinschmidt, CPA has over 30 years of work experience in accounting and finance. Amy has held various positions in different companies throughout their career.

Amy started their career at Price Waterhouse as a Staff Accountant from 1987 to 1989. Amy then joined United Healthcare as a Senior Accountant/Staff Accountant from 1989 to 1992, where they analyzed and reported monthly financial results.

In 1992, Amy moved to McKesson Medical Surgical and held multiple roles including Accounting Supervisor, Sr. Financial Analyst/Financial Analyst, and Accounting Manager. Amy also served as the Controller of a $500 million medical supply distribution division. During their time at McKesson, they managed staff, led the annual external audit process, and developed financial projections for a proposed internet venture.

From 2003 to 2015, Amy worked at Edina Realty as a Controller, responsible for financial reporting, general ledger, and accounts payable. Amy also mentored employees and managed the audit process.

Since 2015, Amy has been working at Gassen Company, Inc. in various roles. As the Controller/Human Resources Director, they managed a staff of six in the Accounting department and eight in Client Support. Amy also took on the role of Chief Financial Officer, where they are responsible for the accounting functions of over 250 homeowner associations (HOAs), including financial statements, reconciliations, and training board members in financial management.

Amy Kleinschmidt, CPA received their Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) in Accounting from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 1983 to 1987. Amy later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Metro State University from 1999 to 2001. Amy is also a Certified Public Accountant, having obtained this certification from the State of Minnesota in 1988.
