Ben Schoutsen

Ben Schoutsen is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in managing contracts and purchasing strategies. Currently serving as the Purchase and Contract Manager for Rotating Materials at Gasunie since 2021, Schoutsen focuses on developing procurement strategies and managing contracts for pumps and compressors in new energy projects, including CO2, heating grids, hydrogen, and nitrogen. Starting at Gasunie in 2014 as a trainee, Schoutsen progressed through various roles, enhancing customer value and supplier relationships. Additional experience includes overseeing procurement for a biomass gasifier project at SCW Systems and previous roles at PostNL and Mascareignes Location. Schoutsen holds a Bachelor's degree with a minor in procurement from Hanzehogeschool Groningen and has completed mechanical engineering training.
