Ronald Pieters

Ronald Pieters is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Manager of Concept & Process Engineering and Technical Project Manager for Hydrogen at Gasunie since September 2006. Pieters is responsible for managing the execution of the HyTransPort.RTM project, which involves a 32km hydrogen pipeline system in the Rotterdam harbour area. Previous roles include Technical Project Manager for natural gas pipelines and Governance Advisor, as well as involvement in network development at Gasunie Deutschland and Gasunie Transport Services. Between October 2017 and December 2020, Pieters worked at Vattenfall as a Project Advisor on HKW Marzahn & Reuter West Berlin, having been seconded from Gasunie Engineering BV. Academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management from the University of Twente.
