Tom MacVicar has extensive experience in the airline industry, holding various leadership roles in different companies. Tom is currently the Chief Operating Officer at GAT Airline Ground Support since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Airport Customer Service at Frontier Airlines from February 2020 to February 2023. Tom was also a Member of the Board of Directors at the American Red Cross from June 2019 to February 2020. From June 2017 to February 2020, they worked as the Managing Director at Alaska Airlines. Before that, they were the Hub Director SFO at Virgin America (March 2016 to June 2017) and the Senior Hub Director at Frontier Airlines (June 2013 to March 2016). Additionally, they held the position of Senior Vice President of the Northeast Region at Air Serv Corporation (May 2010 to May 2013), Manager of the Eastern Region at Virgin America (June 2006 to June 2009), and Senior Manager of Operations JFK at JetBlue Airways (December 1999 to June 2006).
From 1990 to 1994, Tom MacVicar attended the State University of New York - System, studying Aerospace Technology.
