Vanessa van Voorhis

Vanessa Van Voorhis currently serves as Vice President of Program, Portfolio and Alliance Management at Gate Bioscience since September 2024. Prior to this role, Vanessa held various positions at Sonoma Biotherapeutics, including Senior Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances and Director of Corporate Development and Program Management from January 2021 to August 2024. Vanessa's experience also includes working as a Senior Associate at Third Rock Ventures from September 2018 to December 2020 and as Principal, Project Leader, and Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from August 2014 to August 2018. Earlier in their career, Vanessa was a Technology Analyst at the UCSF Office of Innovation, Technology, and Alliances from March 2013 to April 2014. Vanessa Van Voorhis earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, from 2008 to 2014, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2004 to 2008.
