Mohaimin Chowdhury has a wealth of experience in the legal field, particularly in the banking sector. From 2015 onwards, they served as the Chief Legal Officer at Gatehouse Bank plc. Prior to that, they held the position of VP-Legal, Head of Investments & Finance at Al Hilal Bank from 2012 to 2015. From 2005 to 2012, they were the Head of Legal and Sharia'a at European Islamic Investment Bank plc. Before that, they worked as a Legal Advisor at Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC from 2004 to 2005 and 2000 to 2004, respectively. Their career began as an Associate Solicitor at Amin Welch & Co from 1996 to 2000.
Mohaimin Chowdhury completed their education at Catford School from 1982 to 1989. Mohaimin went on to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at Kingston University from 1989 to 1992. Following this, they attended King's College London from 1992 to 1993, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Law. Finally, in 1993-1994, they attended the College of Law and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC).
