Matthew Harvey has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Matthew started their career as a Physical Educator at The MacDuffie School in 1998, where they also served as Assistant Athletic Director. Matthew then worked as a Physical Educator at Newton Public Schools from 2000 to 2003, followed by a role as Director for Child Care and Family Services at YMCA of Greater Rochester from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2006, Matthew worked as a Physical Educator at Gananda Central School District. Matthew then took on a leadership role as Director of Athletics/Assistant HS Principal/Teacher at the same school district from 2006 to 2011. Matthew's passion for education led him to become a Library Media Specialist at Gananda Central School District from 2011 to 2014, and they currently hold the same role at Gates Chili Central School district since 2014.
Matthew Harvey completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Movement of Sport Studies/Physical Education from Springfield College in 1998. Matthew then pursued further education, earning a Master of Education degree in School Administration from Cambridge College between 2002 and 2005. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, Matthew attended the University at Buffalo to obtain a Master of Library Media Specialist degree in Library and Information Science.
