Sara Mucino has diverse work experience in the education field. Sara started their career in 2005 as a Classroom Teacher and Special Education Teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Reading Recovery/Reading Specialist for Greece Central School District. Then, they joined Gates Chili Central School District and held various roles, including Reading Recovery/Reading Specialist, Building Reading Teacher/Reading Recovery, and Assistant Principal. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Elementary Education for Gates Chili Central School District. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the State University of New York College at Brockport in 2018.
Sara Mucino has a strong educational background, as demonstrated by their diverse study experiences. In 1997, they completed their high school education at Greece Athena High School. Sara then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education at SUNY Geneseo from 2001 to 2005. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Sara obtained a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Literacy from the University of Virginia, where they attended from 2006 to 2008. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained another Master of Science in Education, this time in Educational Leadership, from St. John Fisher College in 2011 and 2012. Through these educational achievements, Sara has developed a strong foundation in both elementary education and educational leadership.
