Bennett Sherry has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2008, they were a Congressional Intern at the House Committee on Homeland Security. They then worked as a Legislative Coordinator and Policy Analyst at Stateside Associates from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, Bennett became a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Mentor at the University of Montana. They also worked as an Americorps Member, Refugee Employment Specialist, and Immigrant Career Consultant at Jewish Family and Community Services of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2019. From 2015 to 2019, they held multiple positions at the University of Pittsburgh, including Visiting Lecturer in World History, World History Center Graduate Research Fellow, and Instructor. Bennett joined the OER Project in 2019 as a Writer and Editor until 2020. Currently, they are working as a Content Manager at Gates Ventures.
Bennett Sherry completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Rochester. Bennett then pursued their Master of Arts degree in History at the University of Montana. Later, Bennett obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2018 from the University of Pittsburgh. The field of study for their master's degree and doctorate is not provided.
