Sean Reed

Sean Reed has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sean began their professional career as an Editorials Editor for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, where they managed a team of nine students and oversaw the content for the opinion page. Sean then served as a Key Service Mentor at Colorado State University, providing mentorship and support to freshmen students.

Moving into the legal field, Sean worked as a Volunteer for the Colorado Innocence Project, assisting with the organization's efforts to secure the release of incarcerated individuals claiming innocence. Sean also gained experience as a Law Clerk at Disability Minnesota, conducting legal research and writing memoranda related to client benefit claims.

Sean's employment law career began at the Employers Council, where they started as a Staff Attorney, providing legal advice and training to employers on a wide range of employment law matters. Sean later advanced to the role of Director of Employment Law Services, overseeing a regional employment law practice and managing client relations.

Their next position was at the Gates Corporation, a global manufacturing company, where they served as a Corporate Counsel and later as the Director & Senior Counsel for Compliance, Litigation & Employment. Earlier in their career, Sean worked as a Contract Attorney for Nichols Kaster, PLLP, where they supported a class action lawsuit by conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and participating in case strategy meetings. Sean also gained experience as a Civil Rights Investigator at the Colorado Civil Rights Division.

Sean Reed has a J.D degree from the University of Colorado Law School, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, they completed their B.A degree in Political Science at Colorado State University.
