Tim Sham

Tim Sham, CPA, CA has extensive work experience in the field of finance and taxation. Tim is currently serving as the Director of Finance at Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited since May 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Tax and Treasury at the same company from January 2019 to May 2022.

Before joining Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, Tim worked at KPMG Canada as a Senior Tax Manager from October 2015 to January 2019. Tim also served as a Tax Manager at KPMG Canada from May 2015 to September 2015. Additionally, they gained experience as a Tax Manager at Davidson & Company LLP from January 2014 to May 2015.

Tim's career in taxation began at KPMG Canada in September 2011, where they worked as a Tax Specialist until September 2013. Tim then transitioned to the role of Tax Manager from October 2013 to January 2014.

Prior to their roles at KPMG Canada, Tim worked at Berris Mangan, Chartered Accountants as a Senior Staff Accountant from January 2011 to August 2011. Tim initially started their career as a CA Student at the same firm from January 2008 to January 2011.

Tim Sham, CPA, CA completed the In-Depth Tax Program at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting at The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007. Tim obtained their CPA, CA certification in 2011 from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
