Elmo Lopez Jr., MBA has extensive experience in a leadership role, particularly as CEO. Elmo served as CEO at Gateway Community Health Center Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center providing outpatient care to a large number of patients. In this role, Elmo oversaw multiple clinics and ensured that all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, received the necessary care. Prior to this, Elmo also served as CEO at McAllen Medical Center.

Elmo Lopez, Jr., MBA, received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance, General from The University of Texas at Austin from 1974 to 1978. Elmo also holds a certification as a Certified Community Health Worker from the Texas Department of State Health Services, obtained in 2020.
