Crystal Buda has a diverse work experience in education. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Standardized Test Evaluator for McGraw-Hill/CTB/Kelly Services. In 2007, they joined the San Juan Unified School District as a Substitute Teacher until June 2007. In that same year, they also worked as a World History Summer School Teacher at Mira Loma High School and as an ESL Summer School Teacher at San Juan High School. From 2007 to 2016, Crystal served as a Social Science Teacher at Gateway Community Charters. In 2016, they transitioned into the role of Curriculum Coach, where they were responsible for various tasks such as professional development coordination, teacher coaching, and coordination with vendors and publishers. Since April 2022, Crystal has been working as a Vice Principal at Gateway Community Charters, where they continue to contribute to school-wide events, procedures, problem-solving, and other leadership responsibilities. Crystal also takes charge of testing coordination and assists with special projects.
Crystal Buda received a Bachelor's degree in History, Magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University in 2006. Additionally, they obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science from the same university during the same time period.
