Vice President, Workforce Innovation And Strategic Partnerships at GateWay Community College

Al Larson has diverse work experience spanning over several years. Al started their career in 1995 as an Account Manager at MicroAge Technologies. Al then worked as an Operations Manager at East Valley School to Work and later became the Director at East Valley Tech Prep Consortium. In 1996, they joined Central Arizona College and served as the Associate Dean and later as the Director of Business and Community Outreach. In 2000, they moved to Central Arizona Governments, where they held multiple roles including Pathways Coordinator, Interim Executive Director, and Director of Regional Development. In 2006, they became the President of Veloce Ventures, Inc. and also co-owned and served as the CFO of Leaps and Bounds Pediatric Therapy Center. In 2010, they joined Gateway Community College as the Vice President for Workforce Innovation and Strategic Partnerships. Al also served as the Executive Director of Maricopa Skill Center during their tenure at Gateway Community College.

Al Larson completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Accounting from Mayville State University between 1981 and 1986. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Dakota, which they completed between 1989 and 1991.
