Dr. Ciuinal Lewis, Ph.D., has an extensive work experience history. Starting in 1996, they served as the Administrator of Health Services Unit at Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC) until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they worked as the Director of Public Health HIV Services at Cook County Jail/Cermak Health. In 2005, they held a Grants role at School District 88 for two years. From 2007 to 2013, they were the Director of Connect 2 Protect at Hektoen Institute, LLC. In 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer at New Age Services Corporation until 2015. In 2016, they served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Holy Family Ministries for a year. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of President and CEO at Specialized Assistance Services. Ciuinal then became the Executive Vice President at Family Guidance Centers, Inc. from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they hold the role of Sr. Executive Director of Chicago Operations at Gateway Foundation.

Ciuinal Lewis, Ph.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from Western Illinois University in 1989. From 1989 to 1991, they pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field at Western Illinois University. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they completed their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Community Psychology from National-Louis University.
