Melissa Willa is a highly experienced professional in the field of special education and behavior analysis, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer at Kyo since June 2019. Prior to this role, Melissa co-founded and held the position of CEO at Gateway Learning Group from October 2005 to June 2019. Early career experiences include serving as an Autism and Behavior Content Specialist at the San Francisco Unified School District, where significant contributions included mentoring teachers, launching the first ABA early intervention program, and developing curriculum. Melissa has held various teaching positions, including Special Day Class Teacher and CABAS® Teacher, focusing on students with autism and related disabilities. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Behavior Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from SUNY Geneseo.
