Mike Snyman has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. MIKE is currently employed at Gateway Services Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Health and Safety. Prior to that, they worked at GEOTAB as the Senior Human Resources Manager, focusing on talent acquisition and HR operations. MIKE also held the roles of Vice President of Human Resources and Human Resources Operations at GEOTAB. Before joining GEOTAB, Mike served as the Group Human Resources Executive at Astral Foods Ltd., where they managed all aspects of the Group HR Function and formulated effective talent management strategies. MIKE also worked as Divisional HR Executive at Astral Foods, overseeing the holistic human resources function of the largest division within the company. Earlier in their career, Mike worked at Transman (Pty) Ltd as the HR Employee Relations Manager, responsible for establishing the Group Employee Relations Department and driving change and continuous improvement. MIKE started their career at Staff Dynamix (Team Dynamix) as the HR Operations Director, where they co-founded the company and oversaw HR projects and talent search.
Mike Snyman has a diverse education history, with a focus on law and human resources. In 1997, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Rand Afrikaans University. MIKE furthered their legal education by earning a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2013. Additionally, they completed various certifications and diplomas in fields such as labour law and alternative dispute resolution, including a Certificate in Labour Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. Mike also holds a Strategic Human Resources Leadership Certificate from Cornell University, obtained in 2021. MIKE has obtained additional certifications in areas such as business law, workplace investigations, and HR strategy.
