Daniel Kim

Product Designer at Gather

Daniel Kim has worked in the design industry for over seven years. In 2013, they began their career as a Freelancer at Ahto Design. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Graphic Designer for York University's Sports & Rec Centre and Teaching Commons. During this time, they also interned at Brand & Mortar. In 2016, they took on the role of Art Director at Artichoke Magazine, where they created a new brand guideline and supervised a team of 9 designers. From 2017 to 2020, Daniel worked as a Graphic Designer for Eggworm K.K., where they localized global brands to the Japanese market. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Web Designer for the Newcomer Centre of Peel. Since 2020, they have been a Product Designer for Gather and Evenset Inc.

Daniel Kim attended Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts for their high school education, and then went on to pursue a BDes (Hons.), York/Sheridan Program in Design at York University from 2014 to 2019. Daniel has also obtained two certifications from Credly in 2016 - an ADAA 2016 Finalist (AdobeEDU) in September, and an ADAA 2016 Semifinalist (AdobeEDU) in July.
