Sid Ram

Sid Ram has over 14 years of experience in the engineering field. In 2006, they began their career as an Engineering Intern at Heavy Engineering Division for Larsen & Toubro Limited. Sid then worked as a HVAC Planning Engineer for ETA Engineering Private Ltd in 2007. In 2008, they were a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Researcher and CAD Teaching Assistant for the University of Michigan. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a CAE Engineer for Altair ProductDesign, Inc. Sid then worked as a Senior Engineer - Vehicle Structure Safety and Research for Honda R&D from 2012 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Senior Engineer - Automotive Safety for Faraday Future. Sid then worked as a Senior Vehicle and Safety Engineer for Karma Automotive LLC from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Senior Autonomous Vehicle Engineer for Cruise Automation. Most recently, from 2019 to 2021, they were a Senior Engineer - AV Reliability and Validation for Pony.ai. Currently, they are an Engineering Lead - AV Safety and Validation for Gatik.

Sid Ram obtained their Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2011 and their Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2007. Sid also holds certifications in Functional Safety Engineer (FuSA) ISO26262 from ISO obtained in February 2021, UL Certified Autonomy Safety Professional (UL-CASP) from UL Solutions obtained in November 2022, and Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) from ASQ - World Headquarters.
