Mark Scicluna

Mark Scicluna, GRP has a strong background in HR and strategic projects. Mark is currently working at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance as the Head of HR Operations and Strategic Projects. Prior to that, they held various roles at Gavi, including Head of HR Services and Recruitment and Senior Consultant in Organisational Restructuring & Strategic Resourcing. Before joining Gavi, Mark worked as a Senior Manager of Human Resources at ELCA Informatique SA / ELCA Informatik AG. Mark also has experience in compensation and benefits as the CoE Lead at Panalpina. Mark has held leadership positions in HR and administration at CARE International and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Mark also has experience in healthcare and academia, having served as the Director of Human Resources and Administration at St Luke's & Mater Dei Hospitals Malta and as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Malta. Mark Scicluna started their career as a Social Worker at the Foundation for Respite Care Services.

Mark Scicluna, GRP has a diverse education history. Mark obtained their MA degree in Social Work from the University of Bradford in 1996. Prior to that, they completed a B.A. (Honours) degree in Psychology at the University of Malta from 1990 to 1991. Mark also holds a B.A. (General) degree in Psychology and Applied Social Studies (Social Work) from the University of Malta, which they earned from 1987 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Mark has obtained several certifications, such as "Steering Complex Projects" from the Cambridge Judge Business School in 2022 and "Learning LinkedIn Recruiter" from LinkedIn in 2021. Mark also holds certifications in areas like PowerPoint, Organisational Design and Development, Global Remuneration, and Occupational Assessment and Testing.
