Guillaume Michel

Project Geoscientist at Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions

Guillaume Michel is a Project Geoscientist at Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions since October 2022, specializing in the geophysical and geotechnical exploration of offshore sites for windfarm development. Prior to this role, Guillaume served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University College Cork, focusing on subseabed characterization for the IMORE Project, and held postdoctoral positions at Rouen University and CNRS, concentrating on sediment dynamics and automated sediment classification using acoustic mapping. Guillaume's earlier experience includes a PhD at IFREMER, where research centered on microbial fluid systems, as well as involvement in multiple oceanographic cruises as an on-board scientist. Educationally, Guillaume holds a Research Doctorate in Geological and Earth Sciences from Pierre and Marie Curie University and a Master’s degree from IUEM.
