Dieter Verschooren

Dieter Verschooren is a seasoned freelance journalist with extensive experience in regional reporting. Currently, Dieter serves as the Eindredacteur Sportregio for VRT NWS and as a Regiocorrespondent for both Radio 2 and Het Nieuwsblad, specializing in the Waasland region. Dieter has been with Mediahuis nv since July 2018, covering Regio Beveren, Kruibeke, Sint-Niklaas, and Temse. Previously, Dieter held the role of Eindredacteur at Fuzz Magazine, which focused on electronic music, and contributed as a Programmamedewerker for Sporza during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Educational qualifications include attendance at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen and Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
