Andrey Smirnov

Andrey Smirnov is an experienced professional in the field of auditing and internal control, currently serving as the Audit Projects Manager at MTS Group since January 2022. With a longstanding tenure at Gazprombank since June 2002, Andrey has held key positions as Deputy Head of Internal Control and Deputy Head of Internal Audit. Prior to this, Andrey was the Director of Internal Audit and Control at Sistema from June 2016 to December 2021 and served as the Head of Audits Division at Bank Menatep Saint Petersburg from September 1998 to May 2002. Andrey began a career in auditing as an Internal Auditor at Bank Menatep from July 1997 to August 1998 and worked as a Security Professional at Bank Technobabk from August 1996 to June 1997. Andrey holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, completed between 2011 and 2013, and a degree from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation, which was completed between 1993 and 1998.
