Derek Buckley

Derek Buckley is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in software development spanning over two decades. Currently at GBG Plc since August 2015, Derek develops software aimed at combating online fraud. Previous positions include Software Engineer III at Brooks Automation, where Derek developed components for the bioscience industry, and Senior Software Engineer roles at Matrical Bioscience and Venture Design, focusing on bioscience systems and underground mining safety systems, respectively. With experience in agile development and proficiency in Java and C++, Derek has contributed to various projects across multiple industries, including healthcare IT, financial trading software, and commercial systems. Derek holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University.
