Alana Plaus, MPA, currently serves as a Senior Associate at GBSM since January 2022, previously holding the position of Associate. Alana gained experience as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Governor for the State of Colorado from January 2021 to January 2022 and was the Deputy Director at The Colorado Forum from November 2018 to January 2021. Additional roles include serving as a Policy Analyst for the Colorado Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 2018, and as a Consultant at The Brookings Institution in 2017. Alana also worked at New York University from August 2014 to July 2016 as the Assistant Director of Admissions, following roles at Colgate University that included Assistant Dean of Admission and Coordinator of International Admission, as well as Admission Counselor. Alana holds a Master of Public Administration degree in Public Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Women and Gender Studies from Bates College, complemented by study at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
