Helen Tocco is a Senior Project Engineer at GBX Group. Helen previously worked at CohnReznick Think Energy as an Engineer II from December 2011 to March 2014.
As a civil engineer and an architect, Helen’s unique experience assisted clients with technology, design, and construction-related work. Helen also directed projects relating to Green Buildings or LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and guided teams through researching and permitting. Helen conducted the majority of site visits done for clients, quickly assessing rooftops or other facilities for placement of on-site generation renewable energy systems such as solar hot water, small wind, or solar photovoltaics.
Some of Ms. Tocco’s accomplishments include: managing the construction of one of the largest continuous rooftop-mounted PV systems in North America, and assessing the wind and solar resources of over 1000 facilities belonging to one client. Ms. Tocco has worked on over 150 MW of projects that are currently in development and construction phases throughout North America. Ms. Tocco holds two B.S. degrees in Architecture and in Civil Engineering from Catholic University of America.
Helen Tocco graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and Architecture from The Catholic University of America. Helen also has a diploma from Lenape High School. Helen is certified by the US GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL in LEED Green Associate.
Helen Tocco reports to Brian Walmsley, Chief Technology Officer. They work with Mahadi Talley - IT Support Technician, Laura Manville - IT Software Applications Analyst, and Rick Caton - Director, Enterprise Solutions.
