GCE Blue Maritime Cluster
Pierre Major serves as the CEO of the GCE Blue Maritime Cluster since March 2024, following a notable tenure at OSC AS where roles included Vice President of Business Development, Head of Research, and Senior Software Architect, spanning from November 2013 to March 2024. Additional leadership experience includes positions as Head of Research at AugmentCity and Leder Lokallag at Syklistenes Landsforening. Pierre Major holds a PhD in Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a Master's degree from ETH Zürich. Prior work experience encompasses software engineering and development in various sectors, including offshore technology and agriculture. Notable entrepreneurial accomplishments include founding a partnership to develop medical applications while collaborating with NTNU Technology Transfer.

The Blue Maritime cluster in Norway is a world leader in developing, designing, constructing, equipping and operating some of the world’s most advanced vessels for the global ocean industries. The Norwegian coast is home to a unique concentration of maritime companies, and specialized research and educational institutions. Together they represent the Norwegian maritime cluster, which has gained status as a Global Centre of Expertise because of its strong global position and rapid innovation. With more than 175 cluster members throughout the entire value chain, spanning from shipowners, yards, design and engineering companies, equipment, and service providers to research facilities, academic institutions, authorities, finance and risk institutions, start-ups, and public organizations. Our New Blue Deal strategy aims for us to be the first zero emission maritime cluster in the world.
