Jennifer Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Jennifer started their career at TSI Terminal Systems Inc., where they held roles such as Operations Trainee, Junior Accountant, Payroll Coordinator, Human Resources Administrator, Human Resources Coordinator, and eventually became an Advisor and Senior Advisor in Human Resources. In 2012, they joined GCT Global Container Terminals Inc. as a Human Resources Business Partner for GCT Canada. Over the years, they advanced to Manager, Director, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources.
Jennifer Kim attended The University of British Columbia from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science. Jennifer then attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1995, earning a Diploma in Transportation and Logistics. In 2002, they returned to the British Columbia Institute of Technology and completed a Certificate of Human Resource Management with Honours in the field of Human Resources Management and Services from 2002 to 2004. In 2013, Jennifer obtained a Lean Greenbelt Certification from Lean Sensei International. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the D&I Influencer Certificate from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) in 2021 and will complete the Ivey Leadership Program at The Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School in 2023.
