Shao Siong Chua, also known as 蔡少雄, has a significant work experience spanning over two decades in various leadership positions in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries.
Shao Siong currently holds the position of Vice President Technical Operations at GDMC since January 2023.
Prior to this, they served as the GM of Manufacturing Operations in Singapore at RVAC Medicines from December 2021 to December 2022.
From 2016 to 2021, Shao Siong Chua worked at Novartis, where they held multiple roles. Shao Siong initially served as the Head of the Manufacturing Unit (BioProduction Ops) from April 2017 to December 2021. Shao Siong also briefly acted as the Site Head (ad-interim) in October to December 2020, overseeing the overall biologics manufacturing operations in Singapore. In addition, they worked as a Production Lead for the Site Expansion Project from March 2016 to March 2017.
Prior to Novartis, Shao Siong Chua worked at Baxalta as the Head of Manufacturing from July 2015 to February 2016. Shao Siong also held the same position at Baxter International Inc. from June 2010 to June 2015.
Shao Siong'searlier experiences include various roles at GSK, starting as a Production Engineer responsible for commissioning new facilities and processes. Shao Siong then served as an OE Expert from 2004 to 2006, an R&D Operations Lead from 2006 to 2009, and a Value Stream Mfg Lead from 2009 to 2010.
Shao Siong Chua began their career as a Process Engineer at DuPont from April 2000 to April 2002.
Shao Siong Chua 蔡少雄 pursued their education at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) with Business degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Shao Siong completed their studies from 1995 to 2000.
