Amy Bailey

Head Of Educational Partnerships And Engagement at GDST

Amy Bailey has extensive work experience in the education and library sectors. Amy has been working for GDST (The Girls' Day School Trust) since 2016, where they started as the Online Learning and Innovation Manager and is currently the Head of Educational Partnerships and Engagement. In this role, they support senior stakeholders in designing and implementing education strategies, provides guidance on technology provision and online learning, and coordinates curriculum design. Prior to GDST, Amy worked as a Librarian at Wimbledon High School GDST from 2014 to 2016, where they developed and implemented a library development plan and managed the budget. Amy also worked at St Paul's Girls' School as an Assistant Librarian and E-learning Co-ordinator from 2010 to 2014, where they supervised the daily operations of the library and led the roll-out of a new virtual learning environment. Amy has also gained experience in collections management as a Collections Advisor for poet Michael Rosen from 2012 to 2014, and as a Library Assistant and Graduate Trainee at The Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford from 2009 to 2010. In these roles, they were involved in various library duties, including cataloguing, enquiry work, and user education sessions. Amy began their library career as an Evening and Weekend Library Assistant at The Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, Leopold Muller Library, from 2008 to 2009, where they were responsible for opening and closing the library and managing various tasks.

Amy Bailey has a Master's Degree in Jewish Studies from the University of Oxford, which they obtained from 2008 to 2009. Amy also holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies from UCL, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from the University of Oxford, completing it from 2005 to 2008. Amy also has a certification as a FutureLearn learning designer and educator from FutureLearn, obtained in 2021.
