Tom Griffin

Tom Griffin serves as Managing Director at Cutaway Consulting, specializing in strategic communications and public affairs support for senior leaders across sectors since October 2018. Concurrently, Tom holds a Level 3 Referee/Match Official role with the Welsh Rugby Union and chairs the Cardiff Society of WRU Referees. Tom has also been a Debating Coach for the Girls' Day School Trust since January 2020 and has a rich history in music education with the Cardiff County Vale Of Glamorgan Music Service. Previously, Tom was Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at the University of South Wales, and UK Public Affairs lead for General Dynamics, where notable contributions earned industry awards. Early political experience includes serving as Political Secretary to a Member of Parliament. Tom holds an MA from the University of Oxford, a PhD from Swansea University, and has undertaken research at Boston University.
