Brandon Miller

Principal Engineer at GE Aerospace

Brandon Miller has extensive work experience in the aviation industry, specifically with GE Aviation. Brandon started their career at GE Aviation in 2006 as a part of the Edison Engineering Development Program, where they gained experience in various technical roles related to gas turbines. This included work in static airfoil design and analysis, as well as engine overhaul and assembly process engineering.

After completing the program, Brandon took on various engineering roles at GE Aviation. Brandon began as a Design Engineer in 2009, where they evaluated advanced engine architectures and designed novel engine mounting systems. In 2012, they were promoted to Lead Engineer, and then to Staff Engineer in 2016.

From 2017 to 2021, Brandon held the position of Senior Engineer, where they focused on the conceptual design of commercial and military aircraft propulsion engine architectures. Brandon also developed intellectual property strategies to protect advanced engine architectures and mentored younger engineers.

Most recently, Brandon has been working as a Principal Engineer since August 2021. In this role, they are responsible for system and module/subsystem integration for advanced propulsion demonstration. Brandon also develops and manages technology maturation and risk reduction strategies, as well as intellectual property strategies for advanced propulsion technologies.

Brandon has gained valuable experience throughout their career at GE Aviation and has demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and reviewing the work of others.

Brandon Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2005. Brandon later pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2009.
