David Parker

Principal Engineer - Aerodynamics at GE Aerospace

David Parker has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David started their career as an Engineering Assistant at Turbocam Inc in 2000, where they focused on CNC programming and automation systems. In 2003, they joined MIT as a Research Assistant, contributing to the development and operation of a test facility for measuring compressor technologies. David then transitioned to GE Aviation in 2005, where they held various roles, including Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Advanced Lead Engineer, working on the design, analysis, and testing of compression components. In 2015, they were promoted to Staff Engineer and later became a Senior Engineer in 2016. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Principal Engineer - Aerodynamics at GE Aviation starting in June 2022.

David Parker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 2003. David then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Aerodynamics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005.
