Hermann Scheugenpflug is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in aerothermal technology and turbomachinery aerodynamics. Currently serving as the Executive Chief Consulting Engineer and Global Head of Aerothermal Technology & Design at GE Aviation since April 2012, responsibilities include directing technology development and product design for military and commercial gas turbine engines. Prior to this role, Hermann held significant positions at Vericor Power Systems and MTU Aero Engines, including Vice President of Engineering & Quality and Director of Technology Management, respectively. Hermann's educational background includes a Dr.-Ing. in Gas Turbine Engines from Bundeswehr University Munich and a Dipl.-Ing. in Aerospace Engineering from Technical University of Munich.
