Kristin Young

Kristin Young is an experienced technology leader with over 20 years in software engineering and operations, currently serving as Director of Software Engineering, People Operations, and Site Leadership at GE Aerospace since May 2011. In this role, Kristin focuses on cultivating a thriving culture for software professionals through development initiatives. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Digital Operations for Cloud, where the responsibility included infrastructure support for applications on AWS, and IT Leader Operations for Oracle ERP, managing critical operational database support. Additionally, Kristin is an advisory board member for EMU Digital Divas, promoting education and outreach initiatives, and serves on the Board of Advisors for GameAbove, an Eastern Michigan University alumni organization. Early career experience includes management positions at Computer Sciences Corporation and consultancy work at DARC Corporation, providing software solutions for notable clients. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University.
