Peter Brown

Peter Brown is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at GE Aviation since November 1999, Peter has held multiple roles including Senior Engineer - Coatings and Senior Staff Engineer. Prior to GE Aviation, Peter worked at GE Lighting as a Systems Manager focusing on thin film process innovation and commercialization from November 1999 to June 2013. Earlier experience includes a tenure as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Hologic from July 1996 to November 1999, where Peter specialized in coating process development for digital x-ray sensors, and as a Research Fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory, concentrating on coating process development and computational fluid dynamics from July 1993 to July 1996. Peter holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering, all from The Ohio State University.
