Praveen Kumar

Praveen Kumar is currently serving as a Lead Engineer at GE Aerospace since April 2024. Prior to this role, Praveen worked as a Research Engineer in Aerodynamics/CFD at GE Research from August 2022 to March 2024. Praveen's extensive experience in research includes positions as a Research Associate, Postdoctoral Associate, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from June 2013 to July 2022, focusing on large eddy simulation of complex flows. Additionally, Praveen served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota's Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics for courses in Statics & Dynamics and Aerodynamics. Praveen completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Minnesota in 2017, following a B.Tech. (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2012. Early education includes Class XII from Delhi Public School Bokaro and Class X from Gyan Bharti Residential Complex, Bodhgaya.
