Salim Mousallam

Regional Vice President - Sales & Business Development - Middle East, Africa & Türkiye at GE Aerospace

Salim Mousallam has extensive work experience in the engineering and power industry. Salim began their career in 2005 as a Compressor Technology Design Engineer at GE Power. Salim then joined the Edison Engineering Development Program, a rotational leadership program, where they gained technical skills and business leadership experience. Salim held various roles at GE Power, including Global Thermal Performance Engineer and Regional Engineering & Operations Manager for the Middle East & Africa. Salim also served as the Country General Manager for GE Power Services in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, where they were responsible for the overall growth and financial performance of the business. Most recently, Salim worked as the Executive Director of Decarbonization Strategy & Partnerships for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, leading a team in building relationships and partnerships to drive climate action and decarbonization roadmaps. Currently, Salim is the Regional Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for the Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye at GE Aerospace.

Salim Mousallam completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree at Saint Francis University from 2001 to 2003. Salim then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University, which they earned from 2003 to 2005. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they completed their Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2018 and 2019, Salim pursued additional education, earning an Executive Master of Laws - LLM degree in International Business, Trade, and Tax Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, and an Executive Certificate in Business Administration with a focus on International Business/Trade/Commerce from IE Law School.
