Steve Hensley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Steve started their career as an Aerospace Program Manager at TSS Aerospace, where they were responsible for the profitable operation of the aerospace group. Steve then worked as an Associate Editor at Modern Machine Shop Magazine, where they traveled with the sales and technical team to various manufacturers and companies.
Steve also worked as a Mill/Turn Technology Leader at TurboCombustor Technology and as a Senior Quality Engineer at Barnes Aerospace, ensuring compliance with customer quality requirements and facilitating process improvement. Steve served as the Quality Manager and ITAR Empowered Official at Midstate Machine, focusing on power generation parts.
At GEMCITY Engineering and Manufacturing, Steve worked as a CNC Operations Manager, emphasizing daily continuous improvement. Steve served as an AS9100 Auditor at Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc., conducting assessments of Quality Management Systems. Steve also held the role of Director of Quality at Advanced Nitriding Solutions, where they led efforts to maintain necessary quality systems and certifications.
Recently, Steve has worked as the Global Director of Quality at ElectroCraft and is currently employed as a Lead Sourcing Specialist at GE Aerospace.
Steve Hensley has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, which they obtained from Indiana Wesleyan University between 1998 and 2000. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College between 1988 and 1991. Steve furthered their education by obtaining an Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College between 1989 and 1992. In 2013, they obtained a Black Belt in Six Sigma from SigmaPro, Inc. Steve Hensley has also earned additional certifications, including AS9100C:2009 Lead Auditor from Exemplar Global, Inc. in 2015, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training from SigmaPro in 2013. Steve also holds certifications in Unigraphics NX-7 from Butler Technology and Career Development School in 2009, and Mastercam-X from FASTECH, Inc in 2006.
