Tom Niewald

Tom Niewald is an experienced manufacturing professional currently serving as a Senior Manufacturing Manager and Hardware Owner at GE Aerospace since January 2023. Previously, Tom held the position of Operations Manager at Shape Corp. overseeing Secondary Operations at the Aluminum Center of Excellence. With extensive experience at Valeo, Tom worked in various capacities, including Production Manager for the Injection Molding Department, Industrial Project Manager for a multi-site HVAC program, and Site Lean Manufacturing Manager. Earlier career roles also include process engineering and production management at General Cable Corporation, as well as military service as a Combat Arms Officer in the US Army, where Tom led troops during the Persian Gulf War. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Management and Leadership from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
